# Create a BrightHub Station

Watch the video below for a deminstration of how to create a BrightHub station:

{% embed url="<https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=6t5d5ZPeLZM>" %}

{% hint style="info" %}
In order to create a BrightHub station, you first need to [create a free BrightHub account](/brighthub-user-docs/quick-start-guide/create-a-brighthub-user-account.md).
{% endhint %}

Follow this step-by-step guide to create a BrightHub station:

{% stepper %}
{% step %}

### Click 'Create Station' on the [map page](/brighthub-user-docs/quick-start-guide/navigate-map-page.md).

<figure><img src="/files/Rn2uLfyQeBKepyDtHZcX" alt="" width="563"><figcaption></figcaption></figure>
{% endstep %}

{% step %}

### Select Station Owner.

Use the menu on the left to click on your chosen station owner, which can be your personal BrightHub user account or any BrightHub station you are a member of.

If you choose an organisation as the owner, other members of the organisation will be able to view the station.

Note that you can modify the station owner later in [Settings](/brighthub-user-docs/reference-user-manual/settings-tab.md).
{% endstep %}

{% step %}

### Select Method.

To create a station by uploading data files, select 'Upload your own logger data files'.

<figure><img src="/files/KpQWIY80NAP40e9DNoyR" alt="" width="375"><figcaption></figcaption></figure>

The following alternative methods can also be used to create a BrightHub station - note that this guide focuses on uploading logger data files.

{% tabs fullWidth="true" %}
{% tab title="Import WRA Data Model" %}
Alternatively, you can create a station by uploading an IEA Task 43 data model formatted JSON and subsequently upload the raw data files.
{% endtab %}

{% tab title="Create a Measurement Station Manually" %}
Choose this option to create a station from scratch without the aid of processing any logger data files.
{% endtab %}

{% tab title="Find your logger from a list" %}
This method is not yet available.
{% endtab %}
{% endtabs %}

Click 'Next'.
{% endstep %}

{% step %}

### Upload timeseries data files.

Drag and drop or click to upload your logger timeseries data files.&#x20;

Click 'Upload'.

{% hint style="danger" %}
Logger files must be unmodified, including file names, to ensure they are processed correctly.
{% endhint %}

The list of accepted file types specifies which logger models and file types can be handled by BrightHub.

{% hint style="info" %}
You can upload up to 500 raw logger files at a time\*.&#x20;

If you have more than 500 files to upload, upload the files in smaller batches:

1. Drag and drop or click to upload up to 500 files.
2. Click 'Upload'
3. Drag and drop the next batch of up to 500 files and repeat.

\*Note that SymphoniePRO files can be processed in batches of 5 files or less.
{% endhint %}

{% hint style="danger" %}
Ensure that the first data file from the beginning of the measurement campaign is contained in the first batch uploaded to BrightHub. Upload the files in chronological order from the start of the measurement campain where possible.
{% endhint %}

Once all of the files have processed successfully, click 'Next'.
{% endstep %}

{% step %}

### Fill in Station Details.

Edit the 'General Details' including the station Name, Measurement Station Type and Country.

These fields may have been guessed by BrightHub based on ingested files, but can be modified when setting up the station or at a later date.

Check the station Location with the help of Google Maps.
{% endstep %}

{% step %}

### Click 'Create Station'.

This brings you to the 'Edit Station Setup' page, where as many fields as possible have been populated based on the processing of the logger timeseries files.

You can proceed to populate any missing fields as described in [Populate the Data Model](/brighthub-user-docs/station-setup-guide/populate-the-data-model.md).

Click the 'X' or Save icons on the top right of the screen to exit 'Edit Station Setup' Mode  <img src="/files/aGFouJzaxTqr4Wlt1syn" alt="" data-size="line">.&#x20;
{% endstep %}
{% endstepper %}

Once you have created a station on BrightHub, you can complete the station configuration with the following steps:
